Sometimes you cherish a dream for so long that there comes a point when you simply have to stop dreaming and start doing. You can keep making plans, writing lists, and trying to prepare everything to perfection, but ultimately, it all comes down to one step: taking the plunge. That's exactly what I did on December 3, 2025. That day, I walked into the Chamber of Commerce with a mix of nerves, enthusiasm, and a heart that nearly pounded out of my chest. And then, suddenly, it was official: I had founded my own business.
In the first few days, it all felt surreal. It was as if I was still in that same dream I'd been fantasizing about for years. But dreams have a peculiar quality: once you make them a reality, their meaning changes completely. I quickly realized that this was no longer something to daydream about—this was something I had to make happen now. It was time to build, to grow, and above all, to dare.
That's precisely when the rollercoaster started rolling. Suddenly, my to-do list seemed endless. A hundred, no, a thousand things that needed to be taken care of. From administration to branding, from suppliers to establishing a vision that was truly mine. The learning curve was steep—sometimes it felt like I had to learn a new language every day—and time seemed to pass by ever faster. But thanks to the unconditional support of friends and the people around me, I took a small step forward every day. And those steps, however small, together formed a path.
Almost everything is on track now, although there are still a few important items on my to-do list. But that's just part of the game: being an entrepreneur is never quite finished.
In this blog post, I'd like to take you along on my journey as a first-time shop owner—with all the highlights, missteps, doubts, and successes that come with it. Because entrepreneurship isn't just an adventure; it's also a story. And I'm just getting started.
